We’re a crew of Houston garage door techs who’ve seen pretty much everything this city’s climate can throw at a door. Heat-warped panels. Springs that snap on the first cold front of December. Opener gears ground down by humidity and dust. The people answering your call and pulling into your driveway live here, work here, and know the difference between a Heights bungalow door from 1940 and a new build out in Katy. We show up in uniform, give you a written price before touching a thing, and stand behind the work for a full year. That’s the standard Marcus Ellery set when he opened this location, and it’s the standard every one of us works to.
Our People
Ray T. – Lead Technician
Ray has been turning wrenches on residential garage doors in Houston for 18 years, the last seven of them with Bramwell. Torsion spring replacement, the heavy coil mounted above the door that handles most of the lifting weight, is his specialty, and he’s calm about it in a way that only comes from doing thousands of them. He’s factory-trained on LiftMaster and Chamberlain opener systems and carries parts for both on the truck most days. When he’s not under a door, he’s rebuilding a 1972 Ford F-100 in his garage in Spring Branch, which his wife says will be finished “eventually.”
Dana K. – Senior Installer
Dana leads our new door installation work, and she’s particular about clearances, level tracks, and a clean caulk line. She spent over a decade in residential construction before moving to garage doors, so she understands how a door has to sit within the whole opening, not just look right from the street. Dana is certified on Clopay and Amarr product lines and handles our trickier retrofits, the ones where the existing opening is out of square and the old framing has other ideas. She keeps a small notebook in her truck with sketches of the oddest openings she’s solved, and she’s filled two of them.
Melissa G. – Service Coordinator
Melissa is usually the first voice you hear when you call Bramwell Garage Doors Houston. She’s been dispatching service crews in Houston for 11 years and knows the traffic patterns between the Energy Corridor and Pasadena well enough to give you a real arrival window, not a vague “sometime today.” She keeps a running board of every job’s status, schedules around your day when she can, and calls ahead when a tech is 20 minutes out. On her days off she volunteers at a cat rescue in the East End, which explains the small cat sticker on her clipboard that Ray refuses to comment on.
Miguel S. – Apprentice Technician
Miguel joined us two years ago through a trades training program and has been working alongside Ray and Dana since day one. He’s already passed his opener installation certification and is halfway through the spring repair hours he needs before running solo calls. Miguel does a lot of the detail work, track cleaning, bolt torquing, sensor alignment, and he’s the one who makes sure the job site looks better than it did when we arrived. He’s a native Houstonian who went to Milby High School and still goes to his grandmother’s for Sunday barbacoa in the Second Ward.
Styles & brands we work with

One Standard, Every Job
Every Bramwell location is independently owned and operated, but we all run jobs the same way. It’s called the Kingswell Way, and it has five values we don’t bend on: say the price before the work, show up in the window, leave the place cleaner than we found it, put the guarantee in writing, and come back if it fails. That last one is why the 365-Day Done Right Promise works, because the technician who shows up at your house is the same one who’ll come back if something’s wrong. Ray, Dana, Melissa, and Miguel all carry that, and none of them would hand you a written price they wouldn’t stand behind themselves. The standard has been in place since 2001, and it doesn’t roll out the door just because it’s hot, late, or the third call of the day.
The Houston Crew, Ready When You Need Us
Garage door problems don’t wait for a convenient moment. A snapped spring at 7 a.m. on a Monday means your car’s stuck inside and your whole day’s in limbo. That’s why a live person answers our phone around the clock, every day, including holidays. You won’t get a voicemail tree or a next-business-day callback. You’ll get Melissa or whoever’s on the dispatch line, and you’ll get a real arrival window and a technician whose name you’ll know before he knocks. Background-checked, uniformed, and carrying the parts for most common repairs right on the truck.
If you need a repair, a new door, or just an honest answer about whether something’s worth fixing, call (903) 989-4180. We’ll give you a written price before any work starts, on every job, without exception.
